Biography
Born as Mexican in London, England in 1996 and raised in a family of Latin American artists, he has been exposed to music constantly since an early age.
He began his formal piano studies with Alberto Alvarez in 2003 and later with Arturo Gastelum and Marieli Sosa. From 2007 he was a student at the Conservatorio de las Rosas in Michoacán, where in addition to studying piano and percussion, he became part of the 'Coro de Niños Cantores de Morelia'. In 2013, he took lessons in the department of Composition at the 'Escuela Superior de Artes de Yucatán' under the tutelage of Javier Álvarez and Erik Baqueiro.
He has been awarded in several national and international competitions: 'Caja de Viento-Eva Zöllner' in Mexico City 2017, Antonin Dvorak International Composition Competition in Prague 2018, First Composition Competition for Saxophone FaM-UNAM 2020, among others. He has also been a recipient of state funds for artistic creation such as the PECDA Yucatán in 2018, Support for cultural agents UNAM, Resiliencia Sonora in 2020 and the ''Arturo Márquez Catedra Extraordinario de Composición Musical 2023'. His music has been performed in Mexico, England, Germany, Holland and Switzerland.
As a creative mind, he has dedicated himself to the composition of instrumental and electroacoustic music in an eclectic way. He has also worked as a sound recordist in interdisciplinary projects and has been a speaker in colloquiums such as the National Forum of Musical Research of CENIDIM. He currently resides in Mexico City and is studying composition under the tutelage of Dr. Gabriela Ortiz, having also studied with Maestro Leonardo Coral, both at the Faculty of Music of the UNAM.
